Social Science Department

Social Science plays a notable and imperative role in schooling life. We, the Faculty of Social Science, put all our sincere efforts to stand up to the Mission and Vision of the Institution. Every academic year is eventful for the department and we have marched to the fore to reach our aim of creating conscientious populace of tomorrow.

A spaciously well equipped and high-speed internet enabled digital Social Science Laboratory at MMI supports the students and teachers to make the teaching and learning process more exuberant through PowerPoint presentations, projects, quiz, debate and seminars.

• Election for the formation of school assembly is conducted which is a role play for the children about electoral politics.
• Special lectures are conducted on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in which Dr. Bharati Patil (Head of the Department of Gandhian Studies, Shivaji University) interacts with the students and the teachers.
• Field trips are organised for children, through which they gain matter-or-fact knowledge.
• Quiz teams are formed auxiliary to the Department of Social Science to train the children in quizzing.
• Demonstration on disaster management and first aid is also organised.

The members of the faculty participated in various workshops on CCE and teaching pedagogy and kept themselves updated. Formative Assessments are conducted through experimental and innovative activities assessing the skills of the students, using multi tools.
